Veteran, amateur artists to share stage at Sanskruti Art Fest
THANE: With an array of emblematic impressions of Performing Arts, Visual Arts, Culinary Arts, and Nature Spectacle & Exhibition and Sale, Lake City dwellers will be served an exhaustive entertainment package on a platter.
The Times Sanskruti Arts Festival 2017, which will be held at Upvan Lake between January 12 and 15, will offer a platform to a wide collection of artists ranging from amateurs to veterans.
The organising committee comprises founder and chairman Pratap Sarnaik, executive president Purvesh, vice chairman Arun Kumar Suvarna, secretary Manoj Pillai and joint secretary Suman Vijayakar.
Speaking about this year's theme 'Be a part to celebrate art' Sarnaik said, "The main objective of the Festival is to preserve our rich and cultural heritage by showcasing, through celebrity and talented artists, the sublime beauty and grandeur of all Art forms and to bring together people to share and celebrate this divine experience".
The festival will host a full panorama of the art scene presenting over 600 renowned artists ready to showcase their virtuosity on the five artistically designed Stages, Art Gallery and Art Panels along the Lake Boulevard.
There will be around 175 Handicraft stalls and food kiosks offering a range of cuisines. A Nature Spectacle, Light and Laser show, Broadway Plays, Mobile Planetarium, Museum on Wheels and Adventure Sports have also been convened for visitors.
