Dr Varsha Tawde is a registered ayurveda practitioner with a 12 years experience in both ayurveda hospitals and wellness industry. She has an expertise in managing various types of arthritis, sciatica, obesity/weight loss, infertility treatment, acne, detoxification therapies such as panchakarma for diabetes and hypertension

Kerala Treatment

Ayurveda, the traditional Indian holistic health management system, offers a range of traditional therapies and herbal medicines to balance the bodily principles and to impart wellness to the body, mind and spirit. These therapies can be used for curative purposes as well as to improve general health (Rejuvenation). The effect of therapies differs with the methods and medicines used. There are two major factors in an Ayurvedic therapy procedure. One, the type of medicine used and the other, the pattern and pressure of the strokes provided. For example, in a rejuvenating massage, the oils selected shall be with properties of tissue nourishing, muscle toning and nerve stimulating. The pattern of strokes will be in the direction of hair follicles and from the origin of muscles to its insertion. Whereas in a therapeutic powder massage done for weight reduction, the purpose is to cleanse and burn out the excess adipose fat.

PANCHAKARMA TREATMENT

The time-honoured science of Ayurveda believes that the accumulation of ama or metabolic toxins is the causative factor of diseases. Panchakarma treatment, or the five purificatory therapies, offers a comprehensive cleansing of the body that facilitates restoring the body's innate balance and healing from within. Panchakarma translates to five purificatory therapies that purify the body by eliminating the accumulated toxins. It encompasses five major therapies, customised according to the individual's health condition. The Panchakarma treatment involves three stages: Purvakarma (Preparatory phase), Pradhanakarma (Main stage) and Paschat karma (Post Therapeutic Care).
