BEST Bullet train: TMC invites feedback from public

THANE: Thane civic officials have sought suggestions and objections from residents over changing of reservation in the development plan of 11 plots measuring over 5.5 hectares.

The change in reservations is necessitated by the sacrificing of 10 vital proposed public amenities in Diva and around to make way for the Mumbai-Ahmedabad high-speed railway project that will pass through Thane city.

Some of proposed amenities likely to be affected include schools, crematorium, sewage treatment plant, recreation grounds among others.
