Thane: Shops shut for four days, home delivery allowed in Mira- Bhayander

THANE: With 13 new Covid-19 cases reported from Mira-Bhayander, all shops have been shut for four days till Thursday. Home delivery will be allowed at a restricted time.
The Mira Bhayander Municipal Corporation (MBMC) recorded thirteen cases on Sunday, taking the total positive patients to 82. Two deaths have been reported in the city.
Civic officials said that twelve of the cases include two minors aged 11 and 15. Only a 55-year-old man contracted the virus from another patient.
With social distancing norms being ignored by residents, all vegetable, grocery, milk supply, meat and fish sale in the open has been banned till Thursday. Home delivery of essentials will be allowed from 9am to 5pm.
The civic administration had set up 25 vegetable markets during the lockdown. However, the markets continued to be crowded.
Medical shops will remain open but social distancing has to be followed.
So far, eight patients have recovered and gone home. The test reports of 99 people are awaited and 245 reports came negative.
