January 22, 2020

KALYAN: Services on Central Railway's Kalyan-Kasara route were delayed by 25 minutes as track lead wires were cut and stolen at two places on Tuesday at 7.20pm.

The motorman of a local train, who noticed two defective signals between Kalyan-Shahad stations, alerted the control room, which sent a technical team to the spot. CR officials said normal services were restored at 9.20pm. An official said till repairs were on, trains were passing the stretch slowly, delaying local services.

CR has alerted Kalyan RPF, which will act against those stealing copper wires, as it has good market value.

Similar incidents have been reported earlier on CR.
