Ingredients for Garlic Knots Recipe
Garlic chopped 1 1/2 tablespoons
Garlic powder 1 teaspoon
Refined flour (maida) 2 cups + 2 teaspoons
Milk powder 2 teaspoons
Fresh yeast 2 teaspoons
Castor sugar 2 teaspoons
Salt 1/2 teaspoon
Butter 2 tablespo
Parmesan cheese grated 1/2 cup
Fresh parsley chopped 1 teaspoon
Oil to grease
Milk for brushi
Method:
Step 1
Mix together flour and milk powder in a large mixing bowl. Add yeast, castor sugar and some water and let the yeast activate.
Step 2
Add salt and sufficient water and knead into a soft dough. Add 2 tablespoons butter and knead again. Set aside to prove for 30-40 minutes.
Step 3
Knock back the dough, divide into 8 equal portions and shape into balls.
Step 4
Mix together parmesan cheese, garlic, garlic powder, parsley and 2 teaspoons butter in a bowl. .
Step 5
Roll out dough balls into medium sized thick discs, place a spoonful of cheese mixture in the centre, roll into cylinders and shape into knots. .
Step 6
Preheat oven to 180° C. .
Step 7
Grease a baking tray with some oil and place the prepared garlic knots on it. Set aside to prove for 10-15 minutes. .
Step 8
Brush the knots with some milk, put the tray in the preheated oven and bake for 15-20 minutes. .
Step 9
Brush with some butter and serve hot. .
